I also found that the size (dimensions) og a DVD cover should be: 272mm x 184mm.
When giving the cover 3mm overfill the size is 278mm x 190mm.

thank you so much these dimensions where perfect for my covers for films and xbox 360 titles – many thanks! I copied the picture from cc covers then opened the image in paint, then selected the whole picture flipped it 90 degrees then paste the image into word then double clicked on the image and clicked on size then use your dimensions – PERFECTION MATE.
